The theme of this year’s orchid festival at the City Botanical Gardens is “The Beauty of Tohoku”. 30,000 orchids will be used to fashion 800 objects and there will be concerts and other events.
On February 4, 5 and 11 at 11am and 1:30pm seventy visitors at a time will be able to do the 10m high “hothouse sky walk” for an extra ¥100 charge.
