Jammin' Bar

Relaxed and friendly bar, popular with the late night foreigner crowd without feeling too much like an ex-pat bar.

Small but not too cramped. There is seating at the bar, on stools around tables, or (if you're lucky) on a nice sofa.
The decor is a bit "I went on holiday to Bali" but not taken too far, and the music selection is usually pretty good.
Especially when friends of the bar staff take it on themselves to be DJ for the night.

Bottled drinks on offer include Asahi, Corona, Zima and Two Dogs at standard prices.
Mixed drinks are between ¥600 and ¥800
The Bloody Mary's are very good.
Snacks are also on sale for ¥300.

The best thing about Jammin' is that there is no extra seating charge, it is a cheap and fun place to have a few drinks.

I have yet to go to Jammin' when I didn't feel right at home. Not only do they have a primo selection of music (the only place I've found to request the Pixies and not get a blank look), but the bartender and DJ are always happy to see ya. The size of the place facilitates good conversation with strangers, since you really don't have much of a choice. And best of all, have your favorite English curse words cheerfully murdered by Chie, bartender/DJ extraordinaire.
