Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art
Designed by architect Noriaki Kurokawa, whose design won the grand prize at the 5th World Festival of Architecture, this was Japan's first public contemporary art museum when it opened in 1989.
Major works in the regular exhibition include Henry Moore's "Arch" which stands in the museum grounds and frames a view of Hiroshima city, and Andy Warhol's "Marilyn."
There are regular special exhibitions of world renowned contemporary art works.
