Sat in the transit lounge in Seoul watching a very long, and very glum-looking parade of young Koreans dressed in Santa and Reindeer outfits
wishing jet-lgged traveler a Merry Chrsitmas, it just struck me that I have time to launch something we've been meaning to try for a couple of years.
The GetHiroshima Awards!
We're going to keep it simple and ask GH readers to send in their votes for just 4 categories;
- Best place in Hiroshima to eat
- Best place in Hiroshima to drink
- Best place in Hiroshima to meet "more than a friend"
- Event of the year
All you need to do cast your vote is
- Put"GH Poll" in the subject line of an email
- Write the category (Eat, Drink, Meet, Event) followed by your vote
- Send your entries to ghpoll06 at gmail.com
Seeing as it's a bit late and a lot of people are away at the moment, we'll keep the entries open until the end of January.
Then, we'll tally up the votes, announce this winners and give the winning places a certificate orsomething (though there's no guarantee
that they'll care).
It's just a bit of fun so there's no need to send in a zillion entries. Just stick to one entry per person please.
If it's a success, maybe it will become an annual thing. Any interesting suggestions for more categories next year are also welcome.
