"Underground how it should be"
Otis Tetrax - Sun Jan 2008
When I first arrived at Edge the other night, I immediately started working out in my head how I was going to write an up-to-date review. I was going to say how the sound system isn`t actually all that great, how the room really is too small to be comfortable and that it was totally unnecessary for them to have the heating on, even in January. But after 20 minutes in the place I had to rethink. I realised that I`d found the nightclub I used to tell all my friends I wanted - a sweaty basement with a big sound and one strobe light in the corner! The techno and house they were playing was superior to anything I`ve heard either here or in the UK for a long time. And the atmosphere was close to how I remember things used to be in London back in the 90s. Yes, it`s small and hot, and yes, the PA isn`t so great (the one in Free Spirit leaves you with blisters, but this is ample for the space) but these are trivial matters when the music itself and the vibe of the place are so right. I will definitely be back. Possibly every weekend.

I know, I have already posted reviews on Edge, but it recently strikes me how rare and special this place is. The Ritual Records 5th anniversary party with DJ Hiro ranks as one of the best nights (mornings} out I've ever had. These people know how to throw a party. The great thing is... it's like a small house party, all welcome. Come and shake your bum !!

It's been said but I'll say it again, (dance as the record spins) the sound system in Edge is fantastic. It's cosy but in many ways it feels more like the clubs of my youth back in the UK than other bigger venues here in town. The stairs downstairs make it look slightly ominous. It ain't, it's a great place to go for a drink or an even better place to go to party.
"A special place"

Was in Hiroshima last week and went to Flow again, what a sonic pleasure !! Deep, lovely music, freindly crowd and that great sound system. I'm moving to Hiroshima soon and will hang out there a lot !!
"One of Hiroshimas CHIC clubs"

If your into a chic, cool and classy bar/club atmosphere, then this is so the place for you. Its relieving to know that not every club is packed with iwakuni boys. They have an awesome sound system and the music is even better.. a great place to relax and enjoy the music, or dance up a storm.
Definatley one of Hiroshima's best.
"ill tell you soon"

If you are searching for quality New York style garage/house/disco, check out Flow and House Essentials. These partys were better than what's happening in Europe at the moment. The Paradise Garage vibe is alive and well in Japan! Thanks to Mako and Zassan for making me feel welcome. Peace, love and music.......
"Good Dance Spot"
Leon - Tue Apr 2003
After quickly tiring of the cheesy, pop R & B masquerading as hip hop at Jamaica, this was a fortunate find. The dancefloor isn't huge, but there's enough room to move and the staff and the clientele were friendly. Most importantly, though, the music was excellent. I also went on a 'Flow' house music night and not only received a complimentary CD at the door, but really enjoyed the tunes I heard inside as well. The DJs mixed fluidly and had great taste. I'll definitley be back.
"Bloody nice!!"
