Bombay Indian Dining

Located just past the nest-like Womens university library in Ujina, Bombay Indian Dining really feels like you have stepped into India. The Indian chefs greet you with big mustached smiles as you walk into the dining room while shoulder shrugging Indian music videos are projected on the wall. All the while your senses are dazzled with the strong smell of rich Indian spices.

Lots of strong spices on the dishes and diced nuts ontop make this unique to other Indian places we have tried in town. The prices also seem a bit cheaper. Try a bowl of delicious homemade yoghurt for only 200 yen to go with your meal- a great spicy food remedy and a perfect accompanyment for Indian dishes.

The vegetable pilaf was also full of spices a nice surprise from the bland looking picture in the menu. The mint fish tandoori dish was wonderful and the many other tandoori meats looked delicious too. Curry dishes start around 800 yen and the menu also includes salads, soup, rice dishes, tandoori meats, nan breads and ice cream desserts.

A Kids plate is available with chicken curry, but can be easily changed to vegetarian (no toy). There is also a Biryani set meal, Ladies set and Maratha set if you want a combination dinner with side salad. There is a BBQ tandoori meats set with beer too.

  • Take-out available
  • Kids sets available
  • No reusable chopsticks (bring your own or use a fork/spoon)
  • No non-smoking section
  • No credit cards
  • Free parking (6 spaces)
  • Reservations accepted, party course menu (with nomihoudai) available
  • Add nomihoudai to your meal for an added 1500 yen.

I would say BOMBAY is unique due to staff, service, neatness and of course the taste. The place is bit far from the center but worth to go with family and frined by car (Free parking). Sometime we enjoy riding bicycle. We feel fresh food and just good enough spice to handle. Loved cheese nan and cheaper. Surprised to see more than 50 cocktails. It seems owner is Indian of this place but looking at the interior and selected things, presentation it seems to be more made for Jwomen.

I have been to Bombay Dining so many times..I cannot remember.. 20-30 times. I just love the food there. The place is so pleasant, with some bollywood movie in the background and most important the smile from the waiters, and the chef. The naan, curry, and all other food are so good!!! Be there, and then you see if I am wrongly describing the place???

The food at Bombay really makes me feel like a better, healthier person after I have eaten it. I have been going to Bombay for 6 months and it's the best healthy food i have found in Hiroshima. Fantastic food as always - from the first bite you know you're not in an average restaurant "I always enjoy my Bombay experience - the staff is friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and always served promptly and it has a great atmosphere! "... It always makes me feel welcome to come back again

"Spicy ambience" 5.0

We have been to all the Indian restaurants in Hiroshima and find that our family always wants to come back to Bombay. The flavor and spices come to life in the dishes, the atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxing and fun. Watching Bollywood movies on the wall and getting to see the Tandori oven and Nan making....make us come back again and again.
