Bistrot Aimee

Opened in 1997, the owner chose a quiet street in the center of the shopping area of Hiroshima city and created a small yet comfortable bistro named after his daughter.

The lunch menu changes daily but always features appetizer, main course, dessert and coffee for ¥1500

The daily Dinner menu offers a similar set of dishes including an appetizer, drink or glass of wine, main dish, dessert, coffee and two kinds of bread to be served with the meal for ¥2800 per person.
When the waiter brought a freshly baked loaf of bread to the table for us and another during the meal it was steaming hot and delicious. The soup and salads were light and delicious and the main dishes were generous and tasty.

Although the menu is in Japanese and French, the wait staff are very good English speakers as well as being adept waiters able to answer questions about how dishes are made as well as suggest the specials, and variety of cooking options for the meats.

Bistro Aimee is especially busy in the early evening and during lunch.

1st time I went there. Loved it. 2nd time. No English menu given. Food was only OK. Had to ask for the drink I ordered as it wasn't given even after the main meal.

"A little France in Hiroshima" 5.0
Al - Mon Jun 2001
Wonderful restaurant, with some of the most pleasant wait staff in Hiroshima, and a very pleasant owner. One of the few places in Japan that actually brings you unlimited bread with your meal. See there complete menu in English at: http://www.japaninyourpalm.com under English restaurant menus, French.
