"baruto11"
haruka ishii - Mon May 2008
I often go here.
baruto 11 has many films and is a big place.
And the popcorn is very good.
I go shopping after seeing the movie in the many shops!!
It's very interesting.
"Good Movie Theater"
Miki.T - Thu May 2008
This Movie theater is good that many movies are screened.
But the way to the movie theater is not understood easily and there are few rest rooms.
"Wheelchair access"
Miki.I - Wed May 2008
There are 11 theaters in this place and since there is a seat for wheelchairs, these people can also see a movie .
However, holidays are difficult because there are many people who want to buy a ticket. You might want to try to buy a ticket online before you try to come for a popular movie on the weekend.
"nice"
Mai O - Wed May 2008
This movie theater has a lot more food and drink than the movie theater in the city where I live, and it is quite beautiful. Moreover, there are many screens to watch from, so we have a lot of choices.
However, it is necessary to wait if you want to see a popular movie.
"Many screens, but messy"
ChieriM - Tue May 2008
This theater has 11 screens.
So they can play a lot of movies, but the service is not so good. For example, when we go to a screen, there is a little trash.Usually the theatre staff corrects, but not at this theater.
"Best in hiroshima"
se - Wed May 2008
The other review for this place makes things sound complicated. Simple fact is this place is the best to watch a movie in Hiroshima. Big, clean, and plenty of American movies in English. Go on the first of the month if you want to save money!
"Crap Name But Good Seats"
David Hurley (david@hirohurl.net) - Thu Apr 2004
Could you think of a crapper name than Wald (aktually pronounced Valt)?
OK, forget the crap name, what's the place like?
I got to Diamond City (five minutes walk from the specially created Tengingawa station, one stop east of Hiroshima station)
WARNING: if you take the wrong escalator you will find yourself looking at a 4th floor carpark. Fear not - the cinema is there somewhere, just wander about a bit and you will find it. WARNING: if you take the very wrong escalator you won't get farther than the 2nd floor and NOBODY knows where the cinema is because everything is so NEW and you will NOT be in time to see the first 15 minutes of your desired viewing option (FILM).
So, you get there. Once you are there everything is OK. 10 films (most of them crap, but was it not ever so?) to choose from. When you buy your ticket it will be pointed out that you have invested in a designated seat in a designated row. You will be able to spot the place in the theatre cos it will be right in the middle of the CROWDED PLACE. Don't argue with the girl at the till, just flop down in one of the seats in the EMPTY PLACE and enjoy your space. The seats are great.
In the foyer of the cinema there is a burger bar that sells coke, pop corn. A big coke costs 400 yen. Beer is also available.
If you want to have lunch between films then there is a whole mega-mall of cafes and restaurants and so forth to choose from, but I would recommend legging it halfway back to the station - there is a little shack of an okonomiyaki shop that looks well worth a visit...
